Hello from Katy K
Happy Easter to you all! 🐰
How are you all coping/managing your social distancing and self-isolation?
These are tough times but as they say “We are all in this together”. My heart hurts for all those that have lost loved ones to the virus or any other way. It is so sad that the ‘send-offs’ for these well-loved people are restricted to 10 people, especially for those who are part of large families. In front of our eyes, our lifestyles are changing rapidly. We are also changing as we endeavour to stay safe and healthy and protect our love ones. On a happier note, I am loving all the memes that are coming out and keeping us laughing, there are so many clever people out there creating them.
I am still able to enjoy my late afternoon walks along the nearby beach, something that I have done for more than a decade, but now there seem to be so many more people there walking. The funny thing is I am still doing the same thing I always do, smiling and saying hello to anyone that I walk by (while enforcing the social distancing rule) and I have noticed people’s behaviour patterns have changed. It appears that to some people that ‘social distancing’ means you don’t make eye contact or acknowledge someone as you pass by. I have noticed that happening in the supermarket the few times I have been there too and others are saying the same, that they have observed this as well. In these times it is important to not let fear change our personality.
I am lucky as I already do a lot of my work at home, so the adjustment has not been great, but I do miss the freedom that I no longer have. I guess my hair is going to grow long and I have purchased a hair colour from the supermarket to take care of those pesky ‘greys’ that have started to sparkle in certain places. My husband has become my ‘Personal Trainer’ and boy does he make her work hard! Although I must confess he has ‘no-showed’ a couple of times. Our lounge is looking like a gym with weights, stretch bands, and pilates balls. I also find I am eating more! Now you all know where that leads to. Finding self-discipline and setting routines appears to be the best way that I will survive this, hopefully, short journey in the enforced ‘self-quarantine’.
We have been cleaning up a lot, decluttering and finding hidden treasures. This week we found a DVD of ‘The Beverley Hill Billy’s’. OMG we laughed so much, it was good clean humour and so funny.
Blessing to you all – check out below for this week’s special discounts and other offers!
