An update from Hamilton Island 🏝️

I am writing this blog from Hamilton Island in front of a stunning view of the ocean and surrounding islands. To say that this last week has been one of the most relaxing weeks in a long time would be an understatement.

With all that has happened this year, I was starting to feel a little burnt out. Luckily, my hubby Tony had a conference to attend, and of course, I tagged along.

The highlight of the week was a day at Whitehaven beach. I really needed my sunglasses due to the glare of the amazing pristine white sand and the beautiful blue ocean. It was lovely to have lunch, relax and swim.

Unfortunately, my husband, Tony lost his new pair of sunglasses while stand-up paddleboarding.  Apparently, Ray Bans don’t float, hmm… that could be a good idea for a new range of sunglasses, floatable sunglasses for water sports.

Disappointingly, after much searching, they were never recovered. With my quirky sense of humour, I was visualising a lucky fish swimming around wearing them…haha.

Guess where my new sunglasses are?

Yep… Tony is wearing them, and I am having to share them. Just waiting for my turn!

Hamilton Island was so interesting that I think I did the most social media posts that I have ever done as there is so much to see, and I thought it might brighten up the lives of those in lockdown.

I don’t usually have a lot of time to post on social media and I always think ‘why would anyone be interested in what I am doing.’

Outside of my work, life can seem to be ‘lacking’ of interesting posts.

I mean, sometimes I feel there are only so many photos of our dogs, the local beach I go on my walk, and wildlife scenes that you can share before it seems a bit repetitive.

There is a lot of wildlife on the Island and we checked into our room there were already cockatoos waiting to greet us on the balcony.

It was amazing to be able to walk around the Island and see all the wallabies grazing on nearby grass.

They didn’t seem to be bothered by tourists at all!

It’s been a relaxing but also a productive week here on Hamilton Island.

I am also very pleased with myself to have completed a couple of chapters of my book – ‘The Modern Oracle – My Crazy Psychic Life’.

Now my publisher is happy.
