Explore the spiritual symbology of the dragonfly

As you read this, I am sitting at my stand at the Body Mind Psychic Expo at the Jubilee Pavilion in Adelaide. I will try and find time to video some of the action so you can see what it looks like there. If you are in Adelaide come and say hello and enjoy the expo.

By the time I return to Hervey Bay I am usually worn out after all the flights and the two days of readings. It takes the better part of a day to travel to Adelaide and then another to return. Then there is the unpacking, (groan), but it is worth it to catch up with clients while I am there, and it also entertaining and fun to check out all the other stands.

Did you know that there are a lot of myths about oracle cards?

In last week’s newsletter I wrote about two of them, here are a couple more…

This myth is very puzzling.

You shouldn’t do a reading for someone who is pregnant. Hmm… Why?

Because it is believed by some that you might be reading for the unborn baby instead of the mother. Seriously! I often read for pregnant ladies, and it is never a problem. Being pregnant does not interfere with the reading unless you believe it will.

Many years ago, I was influenced to believe the following myth. You should always wrap your cards in black cloth.

Once I created my own Modern Oracle decks and had them packaged in the beautiful magnetic flap boxes, I stopped worrying about wrapping the decks in any sort of cloth. I only work with the Modern Oracle decks now and I keep my decks in the boxes they come in.

I am sure there are reasons behind this myth.

The main ones I can think of are that sometimes the deck packaging is flimsy, and the cloth will protect the deck or that black doesn’t show the dirt and is all so mysterious.

Anyway, I have discovered that wrapping the deck in a black cloth made no difference to my decks.
