Clearing the Past & Kicking bad habits!

Oh My God, I am fighting a sugar addiction!

Yes, I have fallen off the bandwagon and into a box of chocolates. A very big box. I have been in this dark place before and it is not pretty. I know that a little piece of dark chocolate is supposed to be better for you, but I am happy to eat any chocolate and can’t seem to stop at one piece. I am an all or nothing girl! Once I start I just have to finish the job … or block of chocolate!

I blame my daughter Chloe and her partner Sam. Yes, it is all their fault. After my recent stay with them, I came home craving all the illegal treats I was having there. An ice cream (my weakness) after dinner, when I wasn’t even hungry. Mini Twirls, straight from the freezer – yes, they like to freeze their chocolate and it does last longer when you are eating it as it has to defrost in your mouth and then finally, Milo, but, even the 30% less sugar milo has too much sugar in it. I am out of control! Aarrgh

So, now a couple of kilo’s heavier, I have had to take back control. I have got to remove all contraband (chocolate), from the house. Hmm… I would if I could, but I don’t think my husband would be happy as he has his late-night tv stash and boy is it an attractive stash. I will have to go back to the ‘My Fitness Pal’ app to declare everything I eat and hopefully, that will deter me. When I add in one of those little chocolate snacks and see how many calories are in them it soon makes me think twice about eating them. It is going to be a tough couple of weeks while I go cold turkey and try to kick the habit. It doesn’t help that I think chocolate helps me think, it inspires me and makes me feel good, as right now I am currently spending a lot of time writing my book, that should be out by the end of the year. I need chocolate for that big job.

Last year when I was addicted to Lindt chocolate my ‘Clearing the Past’ meditation helped me kick that habit. It just went away and I still don’t crave Lindt chocolate. I will get back into that, as this time I need to release ‘Crunchies’ and ‘Violet Crumbles’ Wish me luck.
