Hello Everyone!
Happy Christmas! I do hope that you are all enjoying the festive season.
Do you have any Christmas traditions?
We always have our family Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and then relax and eat leftovers on Christmas day. Presents are exchanged on Christmas morning once everyone awakens after a late night of partying.
We have a Christmas tablecloth that everyone at the table signs and leaves a message on each year. It is always interesting to read each year and reminisce.
Like most people, I have had a busy week preparing for Christmas, wrapping gifts, and enjoying visitors. My friend Marilla brought her 90-year-old Dad to visit, and my hubby took him to golf for the first time in 16 years. He used to be an avid golf player and enjoyed riding in a golf buggy and even tried his hand at putting.
That night we played all his favorite music on Spotify – think ‘Dean Martin’ era and danced. Gosh, I hope I am that spritely and clear-thinking at that age. I am informed that he is a bit worn out and resting now. He was using a walking stick when he arrived over from Perth and now not needing it due to being more mobile and climbing stairs.
Yay! The proof copy of my book, ordered several weeks ago, finally arrived a couple of days ago, and I am doing the final check before the bulk printing.
I am so disappointed that it has taken so long to get to this stage; there have been many delays. The Christmas holiday will further delay my book’s printing as the publishing world takes a break.
Did you know there is a worldwide paper shortage, meaning it is harder to get the right coloured paper?
I have also discovered that the printers are short-staffed, which creates a further delay. With Mercury Retrograde in the pre-shadow period, I expect delays, and of course, Mercury will be doing its thing until February. I will be endeavouring to get the book orders out asap!
We have been contacted by a few people that wanted to enter our Christmas competition but were away travelling without their ‘Modern Oracle’ decks. I know, hard to believe, right?
So, we have extended the competition to be able to include some of our followers. Check this facebook post for all the details!!
Each year Sian coordinates our Christmas competition and selects the winner using an online random selection process.
Merry Christmas, and thank you for your support.
I wish you all good health.
xx
