Hello Everyone!
Louise Hay said, “You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first.” This is so true!
Recently, while going through a series of health challenges and grief, I had to put everything on hold and take time to heal. Luckily, I have a wonderful, caring hubby, family, and a team to support me. Even so, I felt enormous guilt for taking the time out.
The emails kept coming, with so many people in need reaching out, and I was tempted to help them. Then I saw this post by Louise Hay, and it was the message I needed to receive.
I believe ‘Spirit’ will guide you through whatever struggle you are going through if you notice the signs; take time to connect and listen. By taking the time out, I have healed quicker than expected.
How often have you let your health deteriorate while putting others first? Having come from a generation of the belief that you never take a sick day unless you’re dying and to soldier on no matter what, I struggle with taking time out for myself. Yet, if I had soldiered on with my ‘cup’ empty, I really would not have been able to do my job to the best of my abilities.
While taking that time out, the usual distractions were not there, and I entered a time of feeling the brain fog starting to lift. I believe everything happens for a reason, and I was forced to slow down before I burned out.
Louise Hay was very wise, inspiring, and in tune. I have her daily affirmation calendar and look forward to inspiration. Below is one of her recent affirmations, which once again was a timely message from Spirit.
Wishing you good health and happiness
xx
