Travel Blunders, a visit to Mind Body Spirit Festival and Channelling Crystals

I am back in Australia!

I should say I am lucky to be back, as returning was not easy. Even though my hubby booked our flights with Qantas, we ended up in a hopeless situation on American Airlines flights (Co-share flights).

First, there was a 10-hour delay at Sydney Airport on the way over, causing missed and rescheduled flights. Then they kept delaying our flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles until they finally cancelled it six hours after it was meant to depart, meaning we missed our connecting flight home to Sydney.

The worst part is that American Airlines thinks it is acceptable to hand you a card with a QR code and tell you to call them to try and book on other flights, even though you are at the airport, as it is their new way of doing things. But when you call, the recording says that they are so busy you will have to wait 3-5 hours for a call-back and that they won’t call our Australian phone numbers.

I always tell myself that many are in way worse situations and to suck up the fact that you are stuck at an airport at 1.30 am with no way of getting on another flight.

Then I remember a wise person saying… “Just because someone has it worse, it doesn’t mean your feelings don’t matter”.

When I finally arrived in Sydney, jetlagged, I freshened up and hurried to the Sydney MBS, where I caught up with a few friends and acquaintances.
