‘Everything Modern Oracle’ starts is two weeks!

As you read this newsletter it is the morning after our daughter’s wedding. I wrote this email a few days ago before the expected chaos descended upon us, and I expect that we have all had an enjoyable time.

Now about some of the chaos, which we did expect. Due to COVID, we have had
cancellations and even people who did cancel, calling to say that they can now attend.

It is a few days before the wedding and the happy couple have been amazing taking everything in their stride. Some of the wedding party members and guests have had COVID and luckily have healed in time. Chloe has the name card people on speed dial, and I am sure they are getting frustrated with all the changes of names.

There are also many of our families and friends who have waited years for this special event who won’t be there and will be sadly missed.

I have my special dress to wear to the wedding and surprisingly it still fits, even after all the extra Christmas calories and overindulgence. The last ten days I made the sacrifice of giving up ice cream (one of my favourite foods), biscuits, cheese, and snacking all day. I just love eating crunchy and sweet foods. I am so happy that I quit chocolate back in November, as I can’t just eat a little bit at a time, and once I start eating it, I just keep going. It might have been a problem getting into my dress if I hadn’t given it up as there was a huge amount of chocolate in the house over the Christmas period.

This last week has seen us all trying to dodge COVID so that we don’t end up
quarantining and missing the big day. I can’t help thinking about how much easier
everything was before COVID and how much freedom we have all lost.
